NTSA Referral Program Resources
Sample Email for Students

I was recently accepted to the National Theatre for Student Artists (NTSA), a national ensemble for students from across the United States. Every summer, they stage brand-new productions off-Broadway (which means that I'll be making my NYC debut this July!). Their final application deadline is coming up on March 4, 2018, and I really think that you should audition because [list a reason that's specific to your friend, ex. your performance in [SHOW] last year was so so so good]. To audition, you need to go to NTSA's website (www.nationalstudenttheatre.org) and send in some application materials, like a video of yourself singing an entire song. On the application, where it asks "How did you find out about NTSA?", click REFERRAL, and type in my name. Let me know if you have any questions about the program, or you can email the program director, Victoria Chatfield (vchatfield@nationalstudenttheatre.org). Just let her know that I referred you!

My name is [NAME], and I'm a student at [HIGH SCHOOL]. I was recently accepted to the National Theatre for Student Artists (NTSA), a national ensemble for students from across the United States. NTSA is a three-week residential training program that stages brand-new productions off-Broadway every summer. Their final application deadline is coming up on March 4, 2018, and they're currently looking for student actors, directors, choreographers, music directors, designers, stage managers, and musicians (ages 14-21). I was wondering if you could pass on this opportunity to your students. They need to submit their application materials via NTSA's website (www.nationalstudenttheatre.org). On the application, where it asks "How did you find out about NTSA?", they should click REFERRAL and type in my name. I'm attaching both black-and-white and color flyers for the program to this email. Please let me know if you have any questions about the program, or you can email the program director, Victoria Chatfield (vchatfield@nationalstudenttheatre.org). NTSA has a generous financial aid program and has never turned away a student who has been unable to pay the course fee.
